Mobile crown

Description

The utility of the high masts with mobile crown win lighting large areas such as interchanges, parking area, wide places, is by now, universally recognised. It , ion facts, represents the best answer either from the lighting, environmental, maintenance point of. Lighting mast with mobile crown undertakes an irreplaceable part in the design of modern lighting plant of large areas, having the approval of engineers who consider more and more difficult to find personnel to carry out maintenance, disposed to climb to a certain height. The possibility of lighting large areas with few lighting sources of considerable height makes the high masts with mobile crown particularly profitable in the economy of the whole. Our range, with height from 20 up to 50 meters, is designed in standard elements suitable to grant the maximum safety levels, and it is structured in several solutions which can be enriched by customised decorative elements.

High mast with mobile crown, manufactured under certified quality check according to ISO9001 by authorized processing center according to DM 14/01/08, composed of:
Monotubular tapered shape shaft with polygonal cross section in several section joined by forced overlapping, Manufactured cold forming of trapezium of pressed steel plate EN10025 and subsequent external longitudinal welding carried out by approved automatic process (submerged arc) and welding check according to EN ISO 3834. Provided to be fixed to the basement by direct burying, or with base plate and anchor bolts, and provided at base with cable entry slot and earth device and suitable reinforced access door. Tolerances on dimensions UNI EN 40/2 - UNI EN 10051. Protection against corrosion by means of hot dip galvanisation obtained with the following cycle: degreasing; pickling, washing, fluxing, pre heating; hot dip galvanization in melted zinc bath at 440÷450°, with minimum percentage of zinc into the bath ³ 98.5%.

Coating obtained according to UNI EN ISO 1461 with minimum thickness 55 microns et average 70 microns.

Movement system according to the safety standard, composed of a mobile crown where the floodlights are fixed, supported by 3 wire ropes driven to the trailing head on top of the mast; The mobile crown sliding along the shaft, allows to lower the floodlight and an height suitable to carry out the maintenance at ground. The movement, transmitted to the wire ropes is operated by means of an electric hoist applied at the base of the mast . The trailing head is composed of a structure with 3 brackets of the hoisting ropes and electric cable; it is made of galvanized steel and provided to be fixed to the shaft by purpose made flange and bolts. The bracket is completely covered to grant the protection of the movement devices composed of polyamide pulleys 6.6 mounted on self-lubricated bushes and inox steel pivots. A system which prevents the hoisting and electric cable to go out of their groove is provided. The brackets of the ropes are provided with hooking and centering system of the mobile. The trailing head is supplied already assembled and completed with the steel hoisting cables polyethylene (designed with minimum safety coefficient 6) and with the electric cable for floodlights feeding . The hoisting ropes and the electric cables are fixed on one end to a drum, whereas the other end is passed through the brackets subsequently fixed to the mobile crown.

The mobile crown is made of galvanised steel profiles and composed of two concentric rings connected by three ribs at 120°; on each rib the hooking elastic system is fixed, which is composed of inox pivots and double steel metal foils; This allows to the crown to be strictly fixed to the top of the column and completely release the hoisting ropes during the standard operation of the mast. An anti-spinning system is provided which prevents the horizontal movement of the crown during the raising and lowering. The junction box , the floodlights and gear will be mounted on purpose made steel brackets provided on the mobile crown.

Electric plant suitable to the power to be installed, composed of socket at the base shaft, where it is necessary to bring the electric line. Of the selfbearing cable, completed with CE plug at one end and then connected to the distribution panel on the other end. (In this way all the electrical contacts are definitive and there are not sliding contacts or bayonet contacts). The junction box, completed with already wired terminal board, is provided with tight socket needed for the test at ground of floodlights by means of purpose made extension with CEE plug. Production of the electric plant employing only CE marked components and complying to the UE legislation “ low tension 73/23 CEE - 93/68 CEE and UE legislation “ electromagnetic compatibility 89/336 - 92/31 CEE - 93/68 CEE .compliance to the machine legislation

Electric hoist to be fixed to the base of the shaft when needed, to carry out the maintenance of the crown; it is operated from a safety distance by the operator by means of a push button in low tensions. The electric hoist is connected and powered by the connecting socket nearby the door, it transmits the movement to the chain of the hoist and therefore to the hosting ropes of the mobile crown, allowing thus the lowering – raising of the floodlights mounted on the crown. Powering of the hoist is made by means of an electric cable with CEE plug, connect to the socket nearby the door. The power is 380V three-phases. The chain of the hoist is connected to a drum which transmit the movement directly to the hoisting ropes and therefore to the crown. .Inside the base of the shaft, nearby the door, a switch limiter is mounted which regulates the hooking and unhooking phases of the crown. The hoist is provided of a brake which comes into action in case of lack of power during the movement, immediately stopping the motor and therefore stopping the descent of the crown. The hoist may be supplied detached and mounted on wheel trolley suitable for handling at site, to be fixed to the base of the shaft, when necessary. In this case only one hoist for the movement of several masts having same performances. As alternative the hoist can be mounted fixed inside the door. This solution is mainly suggested if You have only one mast or when the access at site is difficult with the trolley .

All steel structural components complying to CE, are manufactured according to EN 1090 execution class ECX2, certified by third party according to European regulation UE 305/2011.

The mast with mobile crown are CE marked according to the standard in force (DPR459/06 89/392/CEE, 91/368/CEE; 93/44/CEE; 93/68/CEE). The label on each mast quote: type of mast, model; item code, year of manufacturing.

External painting, if any, with colour from our colour card, rough effect, obtained with thermosetting powders cycle including: cleaning from zinc coating burs; smoothing of the surfaces by means of a light mechanic device; cleaning of the surfaces in order to eliminate grease or dirty and create a good adherence base; application by means of electrostatic spray of polyester powder suitable for galvanized surfaces for outside installation, in order to reach 60/80 micron thickness; polymerization into oven at constant temperature of approx. 200° for 40-50 minutes, package for each column, by banding with tissue 100% polyester, (no pluriball), in order to avoid damages during the handling phase. The characteristics of the obtained coat will be: average thickness 60 micron, resistance to checkering test ISO2409, resistance to crash test to UNI8901

HOW TO CALCULATE THE WINDAGE EXPOSED SURFACE ON TOP
As information we quote some data to evaluate the loads of the main accessories that may be installed on the columns and masts. Of these elements we have examined the most frequently used shapes, anyway different shapes but similar can be examined by interpolation from the examined ones. For particular shapes with recommend to ask to our technical department.

Floodlights
The typical arrangement of this arrangement is such that the front part is flat because of the glass, whereas the rear part, is usually rounded and convex and it hasn’t got sharped edges. Data given by the manufacturers of the fixture itself (exposed surface, shape coefficient, weight) may be assumed. If specific data are not available, the following data will be applied:

Furthermore in the calculation of the exposed wind area You may consider the following features: increasing of the exposed surface because of the connection, if such elements are important. Reduction of the exposed surface in case of particular arrangement. This is the case of floodlights on 360°, for which an exposure coefficient equal to 0.9 will be assumed in order to consider the reduced exposed surface.
